Nestlé and Ibratec win international recognition at awards competition

The 78th edition of the Paperboard Packaging Competition recognized two of Ibratec’s creations for Nestlé. Alpino Gianduia panettone’s plastic-free packaging, which replaced the polyester with metallized paper, won recognition for sustainability. Meanwhile, the achievement in innovation went to the packaging of the Dolce Gusto Café au Lait capsules. The microrelief coating, especially developed in Brazil, highlighted its design features and made it possible to set a global standard for the packaging, reducing the time-to-market. “This recognition strengthens our commitment to low-impact, high-performance packaging in line with the global guidelines provided by our customers,” celebrates Paulo Bernardino, Ibratec’s R&D+I manager.
